The Wilson Health Foundation is pleased to announce the receipt of a two funding grants from the Shelby County United Way POWER Group and the Student United Way to benefit the Family Birth Center at Wilson Health. These grants will specifically supply HALO sleep sacks for newborns, enhancing safety and comfort for families during their crucial early days together.
The HALO sleep sack is crafted to encourage safe sleep practices, significantly lowering the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) by offering a secure and snug sleeping environment for infants. This initiative aligns with Wilson Health’s dedication to providing the highest quality of care and safety for both mothers and their newborns.
“We are deeply thankful for the support from the Shelby County United Way POWER Group and their Student United Way,” said Jenny Bruns, Executive Director of Wilson Health Foundation. “This funding enables us to offer essential resources that not only prioritize the safety of our newborns but also provide peace of mind to new parents during their hospital stay.”
The collaboration with United Way highlights the community’s commitment to enhancing health outcomes for families throughout Shelby County. Through initiatives like this, Wilson Health strives to create an environment where every child has the best possible start in life.
The Family Birth Center at Wilson Health continues to adopt innovative practices and resources to ensure a supportive experience for new parents. The continued use of HALO sleep sacks is a testament to this ongoing commitment.
