The new Botkins Family Practice wil be opening in association with Wilson Memorial Hospital and Wilson Care and the doctor will be available during the Botkins Carousel to meet residents.
Teresa Trygstad, doctor of osteopathy, will be at this weekend's event in a Wilson Memorial Hospital tent. The public can stop by and meet her and pick up information about the new medical office. Dr. Trygstad will be the physician providing care and is already starting to schedule patients at the new clinic. The practice is located in the former village council chambers, 111 E. Lynn St. and will be open to patients on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m.
Dr. Trygstad has been practicing medicine for over 19 years with a specialization in family medicine. Dr. Trygstad will be able to provide continuing and comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages. She also offers Natural Family Planning (NFP) counseling as part of her practice.
Dr. Trygstad earned her medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine followed by residency and internship training through Doctor's Hospital in Columbus. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association as well as the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. She is married to Dr. Michael Trygstad, a Wilson Care, Inc., physician with a practice located in Jackson Center.
