The Piqua County Club in Piqua was the site for the 30th annual Wilson Health Foundation Golf Classic on September 20, 2024. Net proceeds for the event were over $48,000 and are used to build the Foundation’s general endowment fund. This fund provides perpetual support to the hospital and healthcare system.
140 golfers played in the event corporately supported by three Titanium sponsors: Blue & Co., Honda, & NKTelco, and three Platinum Sponsorships that include: Ferguson Construction Company, Koenig Equipment, & US Bank. The event attracted a total of 58 sponsors.
Jenny Bruns, executive director, Wilson Health Foundation, thanked everyone for their support stating, “What a commitment to Wilson and the health of our community.” She also thanked the Foundation Board of Directors, Wilson Health employees for helping get sponsorships for this year’s event, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to contribute to the event’s success.
Hospital Care Group sponsored a hearty brunch served prior to the 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. Beverages and snacks on each Par 3 hole were provided by Orthopedic Associates of SW Ohio. NKTelco sponsored dinner for the golfers.

Jake the Cannon Man participated in this year’s event to offer golfers a fun opportunity to shoot their golf ball onto the green for a chance to improve their score and to raise money for the Wilson Health Foundation. This sponsorship was fulfilled by Prosperity Promotions.
Germain Ford of Sidney had a truck available to anyone who hit a hole in one on a designated sponsored hole. There were no winners at this year’s tournament.
Overall first place winners of the event included: Winans Coffee and Chocolate team. Second Place went to Premier Casino Company team. The third place winners were Superior Aluminum Products. Team prizes were donated by Wilson Health Foundation board member, Brandon Simon.
Closest to the pin winners were Alex Groff, Jamie Finnell, Sam Cianciolo.
Longest drive winners were Jason Haak and Doug Fenter. While, Longest putt winners were Danny Neth and Jason Haak. The closest to the water on hole number four was Alex Groff.
All golfers had a chance to win various gift items and door prizes.
Many community volunteers and Wilson Health’s maintenance department assisted with the event.
