Wilson Memorial Hospital will be offering a diabetes support group program on Tuesday, March 29. The program will be held in the lower level conference room of the Wilson Medical Building from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Featured speakers will be Amy Morrow, registered nurse, and Amy Murray, unit secretary, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. Both Morrow and Murray have Type 2 diabetes. They will share their success story of undergoing weight loss surgery and how the symptoms associated with the diabetes including weight gain, high blood sugars, and insulin dependency have been reduced in intensity and in some cases completely eliminated.
The diabetes support group is recommended for anyone with diabetes, support friends or relatives or those interested in learning more about diabetes. The program is offered free of charge and no registration is necessary.
