Erin Yarkosky, certified nurse practitioner (CNP), has joined the physician network of Wilson Care, a division of Wilson Memorial Hospital. She joins the family medicine practice of Dr. Teresa Trygstad, D.O. Yarkosky works collaboratively with Dr. Trygstad and the rest of the staff seeing and treating patients in the Botkins Family Practice.

As a CNP, Yarkosky is an experienced registered nurse who has completed advanced academic education beyond her basic RN training. With this advanced training, she can assume some of the diagnostic and treatment responsibilities traditionally reserved only for physicians.

Yarkosky received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Westmoreland County Community College, located in Youngwood, PA, followed by a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Graceland University in Independence, MO. Yarkosky then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Graceland University and began work as a Nurse Practitioner. She is now working to obtain her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Yarkosky has a wealth of experience as a CNP in the healthcare fields of family health, chronic disease management and prevention. In addition to joining the practice of Dr. Teresa Trygstad, she currently works, and will continue to work, as a Family Nurse Practitioner for Wilson Memorial Hospital’s Urgent Care and Occupational Health settings. Yarkosky has also worked closely with Compassionate Care of Shelby County.

The Botkins Family Practice is welcoming new patients. Yarkosky will start seeing patients June 24. To schedule an appointment, call the office at 937-693-1541.
