Wilson Health’s national search to identify its new chief executive officer (CEO), is over.
The Board of Trustees has named Mark Klosterman the new President and CEO of Wilson Health. He will take over for Duane Francis who has served as interim CEO since June of 2018. Klosterman will assume his role January 21.
“We are very pleased to have Mark join our team,” said Rudy Keister, chairman of the Wilson Health Board. “He is an accomplished healthcare executive with senior leadership experience in small to mid-sized hospital settings. Mark’s ability to lead high performing teams with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care is the right fit for the Wilson Health organization.”
With over 15 years of hospital CEO and healthcare experience, Klosterman will be relocating to the area from northeast Nebraska where he most recently served as President and CEO of Faith Regional Health Services, an integrated health care delivery system including a 131-bed hospital.
Klosterman joined Faith Regional Health Services in 2014 and led the organization in a variety of growth initiatives, quality achievements and investments in the health and wellness of the region to help shape the organization from a community hospital to a leading health system in northeast Nebraska.
Under Klosterman’s leadership at Faith Regional, the hospital received numerous five-star awards from Healthgrades® including America’s 100 best for Stoke Care, Patient Safety Excellence and Distinguished Hospital Clinical Excellence awards. Other recognitions included Press Ganey’s Guardian of Excellence and Pinnacle of Excellence Awards for clinical quality and Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Distinction Center for Maternity Care and Knee/Hip Replacement. The last four years, Klosterman has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review: 130 Nonprofit Hospital and Health System ‘CEOs to Know.’
Originally from Minnesota, Klosterman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from South Dakota State University. He holds a Master’s degree in both Information Technology/Management and Business Administration from Colorado Technical University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He and his wife, Stacie have three daughters: Sydney (14); Tayler (12); and Brooke (10).
